The city's mid year inspection team came to our county for inspection

On the afternoon of June 30, 2008, Xia Wangping, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Song Guoquan, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, led the city's mid-year inspection team to our county for a half day inspection. The new achievements made by the rapid development of our county's economic and social undertakings have left a deep impression on the inspection team.

The inspection team conducted on-site inspections at various locations in our county, including Zhangjiawan Shipbuilding Base, Binhe Avenue Construction Site, Provincial Fine Chemical Base, Panjing Cement Project Construction Site, and Rushan Lake National Ball Training Base, and listened to reports on the work in our county.

Since this year, under the leading of the Municipal Party Committee and the Government, our county has closely focused on the overall goal of "Five Year Great Changes", conscientiously implemented the spirit of the "Two Sessions" and the 11th Plenary Session (Expanded) of the Second Municipal Party Committee. By vigorously carrying out the "Three Years" activities, the vounty accelerated the construction of the "Three Major Bases" , fully carried out the work of attracting investment, solidly promoted the construction of new rural areas, comprehensively promoted the construction of harmonious society, and focused on strengthening various work guarantees, and the county's economic and social development has continued to maintain a strong momentum. It is estimated that in the first half of this year, the county's gross regional product will reach 2.7 billion yuan, an increase of 14.5%; Government revenue reaches 270 million yuan, an increase of 68%; The added value of large-scale industries reaches 550 million yuan, up by 50.5%; The investment in fixed assets reaches 1.85 billion yuan, up by 41.2%; The total volume of imports and exports reaches 165 million US dollars, up by 266.7%; Total retail sales of consumer goods totaled 970 million yuan, an increase of 15.8%. In the second half of the year, our county will seize the opportunity of being included in the second batch of pilot counties of the province's economic and social management expansion and county economic classification assessment. We will further study new ideas, make new goals, seek new leaps forward, and seriously plan the development of the next stage.  We will adhere to the development strategy of "13456" without wavering, further highlight our characteristics, focus on integration, do well in the work on expanding to the East, developing along the river, ecology, and culture, comprehensively developing evology and the city, and actively participating in the division of labor and cooperation in the Pan-Yangtze River Delta regional development. By these efforts, we will strive to double fiscal revenue in two years and enter into the province's first-class counties advanced ranks in three years.

During the inspection, Xia Wangping and his delegation fully affirmed the work and achievements of our county in the first half of this year. He said that the Hexian County has adhered to scientific and leap-forwarded ways in the development, and the speed of changes in all aspects of work is relatively fast, and results of the changes are comprehensive and obvious, which makes people feel excited. On the work in the second half of the year, Xia hopes that our cadres in our county  continuely maintain a good mental state, in accordance with the requirements of unity, passion and cleanliness, put their minds on the work, put their energy on the cause, contribute to the development and to the realization of "big changes".
